Seismic Records

Seismic Records is an independent vinyl shop on the first floor at Windsor Place in central Leamington Spa, opened in 2005 by its owner, known locally as Seismic Stu, who had previously worked at Andy's Records and Fopp. It deals mainly in records, both new pressings and secondhand across indie, rock, jazz, electronic, hip-hop and reggae, alongside CDs, and it also handles music equipment, T-shirts and tickets for local gigs. The shop supplies collectors in the town and, through mail order, further afield, and is one of the few remaining fully independent record shops in the area. Buying is hands-on, with the owner sourcing and pricing stock himself rather than working to a chain's central buying. It trades Tuesday to Saturday, roughly late morning to late afternoon, and is closed Sunday and Monday, with the premises reached up a flight of stairs off the street.
