Warwick Books occupies a former greengrocer's shop at 24 Market Place, opposite the town's Market Hall. Mog and Pauline Harris have run the shop since April 2015, continuing an independent bookshop first opened in 2004 and often described as Warwick's only remaining independent bookseller. The ground floor holds fiction, travel, history and an extensive children's section; the first floor covers poetry, sport and health titles. Staff order any British book currently in print for customers who ask, and the shop stocks greetings cards alongside its book range. It operates as a single-site, family-run business rather than an online-only or multi-branch operation, competing with larger high-street retailers on personal recommendation and stock knowledge. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9:15am to 5pm, and closed on Sundays.
