Siop Tŷ Tawe is the retail shop of Tŷ Tawe, Swansea's Welsh-language centre on Christina Street, trading since the centre opened in 1987. Run under the Welsh-language charity Menter Iaith Abertawe, the shop sources most of its stock from Welsh manufacturers and makers, selling books, children's titles, music, greetings cards, clothing and handmade gifts. It sits within the same building as Tŷ Tawe's live music venue and offices, in the city centre close to the Grand Theatre. The stock leans toward Welsh-language and Welsh-interest material not widely found in mainstream shops, alongside general gift lines. As a single shop attached to a specific community organisation, it operates independently of national retail chains, and has held the same Christina Street premises since it opened.
