Slate Hall

Mark and Monique run Slate Hall from a Main Street townhouse in Seahouses, a short walk from the harbour, the beach and the boats out to the Farne Islands. The B&B keeps to three ensuite rooms, the Palms, the Royal and the Toulouse, each with a seating area, hairdryer, tea and coffee tray and a flat-screen television, plus a self-catering unit called the Snuggery for guests who want their own kitchen. A walled garden is shared between the rooms, parking is provided for one car per room, and guests repeatedly single out Mark and Monique's advice on where to eat and walk as much as the rooms themselves. It is a small operation by design, with four lettable spaces in total rather than a hotel's worth of rooms, and no restaurant or bar on site beyond breakfast.
