Stephen Einhorn occupies 210 Upper Street, where jeweller Stephen Einhorn and his wife Jane Best set up a workshop in 1995 after Einhorn's earlier career making models and props for film, including work for his own company, Don't Panic. The pair moved into a rented flat to concentrate on jewellery design, applying skills in mould-making, casting and metalwork developed during his model-making years. The workshop, visible from the Islington showroom, still produces rings, necklaces and bespoke commissions by hand, using tools largely unchanged for three centuries alongside contemporary techniques. Designs range from engagement rings to the skull motifs that have become a signature. The business remains a single premises on Upper Street, run independently by its founders since it opened, with no additional branches elsewhere in London.
