TeaHee occupies Tollbooth Cottage on Easingwold's Georgian market square, a building that stood derelict for more than 40 years before Sophie Smith converted it into a café in 2003. The business combines a cheesemonger and delicatessen counter with an espresso bar, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch alongside sandwiches, salads and daily specials. Coffee is roasted for the café by North Star, and cakes and bakes are made in house. The deli side sells cheese and other counter goods to take away, distinguishing it from a standard café. Seating is available inside the cottage and outside on the market square. The business has traded under the same ownership since it opened and operates from a single site in the centre of Easingwold. It is one of several independent food businesses around the square, alongside pubs and other cafés.
