The Jewellery Workshop occupies a single shop at 10 Tulketh Street in Southport, where owner Nigel Short has run the business in his home town for more than thirty years. Short trained for three years at Central Manchester Jewellery College, gaining qualifications in gold and silversmithing, diamond mounting and jewellery design, and works from an in-house bench rather than sending repairs out. Services include bespoke design using CAD-CAM modelling, watch servicing and battery replacement across designer brands, pearl and bead re-threading, and insurance valuations, alongside buying and selling second-hand watches including Cartier and Rolex. The shop also holds a stockist agreement for Clogau jewellery, sold in silver, rose gold and 18-carat gold set with diamonds. As a single-site, owner-run workshop rather than a chain jeweller, the business relies on Short's own bench work rather than outsourced manufacturing.
