The LighthouseRestaurant

Sara Fox and Peter Hill opened the Lighthouse on Aldeburgh's High Street in 1995, neither having trained as chefs beforehand. Sam Hayes, who started as the restaurant's manager, took over with his wife Maxine in 2015, while Fox still works in the kitchen. The menu runs on locally sourced seafood and Suffolk-reared meat, with a dedicated vegan and vegetarian selection alongside the a la carte. The dining room was reworked in 2006, moving the bar and reshaping the floor plan. The restaurant sits at 77 High Street, a few minutes from the seafront.
