The LurigInn

The Lurig Inn occupies a terraced building on Bridge Street in the centre of Cushendall, one of a pair of long-standing bars facing each other on the short row of shopfronts. The pub is run as a family business and keeps to a traditional format: a single bar room serving stout, ale and spirits, with sessions of live and traditional music arranged through the week during the summer season. Furnishings are plain and functional rather than styled for effect, and regulars share the room with visitors following the Causeway Coastal Route through Glenariff and the Glens. Food is not the focus; the pub trades primarily as a drinking establishment with occasional live acts booked at weekends. It sits within walking distance of Cushendall's small harbour and the mouth of the River Dall, close to the Glens of Antrim conservation area.
