The Micro Pug occupies a building on Clemens Street in Leamington Spa that sits on the Grand Union Canal, in a spot once used as a bunkhouse for canal traders travelling between Birmingham and London. Before it became a pub the site traded as a coffee shop called Procaffeinate, and the current owners still serve fresh-ground coffee alongside beer, wine, and spirits. It is registered as a free house rather than tied to a brewery or pub company. The pub has two bars, a canalside terrace, and a garden with fairy lights, and hosts a quiz every Tuesday plus regular live music and open mic nights.
