The Quay Inn occupies a riverside building on Wareham quay overlooking the River Frome, built in 1747 and trading as a pub for most of the period since. The single-site freehouse serves traditional pub food alongside a Black Rock grill, where diners cook steaks on a heated stone at the table, and runs themed steak nights through the week. En-suite bedrooms with river views sit above the bar, making the building both a working pub and a small independent guest house. The quay setting places it close to boat trips heading into Poole Harbour and within walking distance of Wareham's Saxon town walls. Food service runs from morning through to 9pm, with the bar open later, and the pub is independently run rather than tied to a managed group.
