Two ChimpsCoffee

Andy and Laura founded Two Chimps Coffee in 2016, roasting specialty beans in small twelve-kilogram batches on a mix of vintage and modern machines at their Pillings Road site in Oakham. The roastery pays above Fairtrade rates direct to farmers and runs on renewable energy for roughly 98% of its operations. Alongside online sales and wholesale, Two Chimps runs a roast-your-own coffee workshop at the Oakham site, led by Andy, plus barista training courses. The business won Small Business of the Year and Environmental Champion at the 2024 Rutland and Stamford Mercury Business Awards. The roastery operates weekday mornings and early afternoons; workshop visits require booking ahead.
