Valley Cruises operates from Coventry's historic canal basin on St Nicholas Street, offering canal boat holidays along the Coventry Canal and its connecting waterways. Weekly and short-break narrowboat hires run for two to ten passengers, covering routes such as the Warwickshire Ring, the Ashby Canal and the Oxford Canal, all without locks close to Coventry itself. A separate day-hire boat, Mole Valley, takes up to twelve people out for a full or part day, or an evening cruise, with wheelchair access available. The basin setting means hirers set off directly from the city centre rather than a rural mooring, giving visitors an unusual view of Coventry from the water before reaching open countryside further along the towpath.
