Coundon Lodge

Coundon Lodge is a Grade II listed Georgian house set back from Coundon Green, around two miles north-west of Coventry city centre. The family-owned guest house sits within five acres of gardens and woodland, including a large pond, giving it a more rural setting than its short distance from the city might suggest. Rooms range from a ground-floor double with ensuite bathroom to an apartment with a kingsize bed, kitchenette and sofa-bed, and most bathrooms are ensuite rather than shared. A self-service continental breakfast is included in the room rate, and the property offers free parking and Wi-Fi throughout. Pets and motorcyclists are both welcomed, which is unusual among guest houses of this size. Check-in runs from 3pm to 9pm Sunday to Thursday and from 1pm to 9pm on Friday and Saturday. As accommodation only, with no restaurant open to non-residents, Coundon Lodge functions as a base for visitors to Coventry rather than a destination in its own right.
