The Hearsall Inn is a free house on Craven Street in Chapelfields, close to Earlsdon, run by the same family for more than 26 years. Free of any brewery tie, it stocks a rotating range of real ales alongside Guinness and other draught beers, poured across a traditional bar and a separate lounge. A paved patio at the front, planted with hanging baskets and floral displays, is popular through the summer months. Traditional Irish music is played live every Tuesday evening, reflecting the landlord's own roots, and the pub sponsors several local football and Gaelic football clubs. It is one of only a handful of true free houses left in Coventry, and functions as a genuine community local rather than a food-led venue.
