Winchester Coffee Roasters started in 2012 in a home garage, roasting small batches of Arabica for family and friends before word of mouth pushed it into a proper business. It now operates from Sun Valley Business Park in Winnall, where beans are roasted weekly to order rather than held as stock, so coffee reaches customers within days of coming off the drum. The roastery runs a small café alongside its wholesale trade and a coffee school for aspiring baristas, serving espresso and filter coffee with homemade cakes. Collection hours are deliberately narrow: closed on Wednesdays, open early at weekends, and shut by mid-afternoon on weekdays. It remains a working roastery at heart, with sacks of green coffee stacked by the door rather than café furniture.
