Winchester Distillery

Winchester Distillery has produced spirits from a unit on the Nickel Close industrial estate on the edge of Winchester since 2014. Its main range is sold under the Twisted Nose name and includes gins flavoured with Hampshire watercress, alongside rums, whisky and small-batch experimental spirits; a newer VerdeVida line makes agave-based spirits in the style of tequila and mezcal. Several releases have picked up medals at spirits competitions, including Masters and Double Gold results. The site is a working distillery rather than a shopfront, so visits are by prior appointment only rather than casual drop-in, though bottles are sold through the distillery's own website and stocked by wine merchants across the region. Refillable pouches are offered for the core gin range to cut down on glass.
