96 Degrees Coffee & Micro Roastery works out of a unit in Old Masons Yard, tucked behind Cowbridge's main shopping street, where the beans served across the counter are roasted on site. The shop keeps a single-origin coffee list that changes with what has just come off the roaster, alongside flat whites, cortados and filter coffee. A short food menu covers full breakfasts, toasties and cakes for anyone settling in rather than taking away. Customers can also buy roasted beans whole or ground to make at home. Trade is brisker in the morning, and the shop closes by mid-afternoon most days, later at the weekend. Roasting in-house rather than buying in beans marks it out from the town's other cafes, and regulars come as much for the coffee itself as for a seat in the yard.
