Art &Grind

Art & Grind occupies a High Street unit in Guildford, opened in March 2024 by Trish Young, an American-born resident of Surrey for the past six years. The café serves coffee from a local craft roaster alongside loose-leaf tea and home-baked goods, but its walls double as display space for local artists, who sell and exhibit work on a rotating basis. Trish set up the business to give Guildford's creative community a place to show and sell alongside good coffee, and the venue hosts art classes, evening events and a seasonal holiday market. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm, Sunday from 9am to 5pm, and Monday mornings from 9am to 3pm. The combination of specialty coffee and changing exhibitions distinguishes it from Guildford's chain cafés on the same street.
