Adam Aaronson Glass Studio occupies Foxbury Barn on the Epsom Road at West Horsley, between Guildford and Leatherhead, where glass artist Adam Aaronson has worked since moving his hot shop to the site in 2013. Aaronson took up glassblowing in 1977 and opened his first studio in 1986, giving him close to four decades of experience by the time visitors sign up for a course. The barn holds one of the larger hot shops in the country, with three furnaces and four glory holes, and runs beginner sessions alongside one-to-one tuition for returning students, typically on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings with occasional weekend slots. A gallery on site sells finished pieces, from small paperweights to larger blown and sculpted glass, made in the adjoining workshop. Courses run for small groups or individuals, with gift vouchers sold for one-off sessions. The studio operates as a single-site, artist-run business rather than a franchised craft-experience chain.
