Art MarketCardiff

Daf opened Art Market Cardiff on Glynne Street in November 2023, in the Laundry Quarter that sits between Pontcanna and Canton, a short walk from Chapter Arts Centre. The shop runs as a combined gallery, print shop and plant shop, stocking original paintings and prints by local and emerging Welsh artists alongside handmade ceramics and design-led homeware. Indoor plants are sold from the same floor as the artwork, an unusual pairing that keeps the shop busy with browsers who aren't necessarily buying art that day. Exhibitions change regularly rather than the stock staying fixed on the walls, and the space doubles as a venue for workshops and pop-up events run by the artists it stocks. It gives Cardiff artists working outside the gallery system, without a dealer or agent, a place to sell directly to the public.
