Blas atFronlas

Blas at Fronlas is a café on Market Street in Newport, Pembrokeshire, run by Martina and Jason from a stone building in the centre of the town. It serves quiches, salads, panini, soups and cakes made with local ingredients, holds a full licence for beer and wine, and opens Monday to Saturday from 9am to 2.30pm without taking bookings. The café has a garden to the rear and is dog-friendly, drawing custom from walkers on the coast path as well as local residents. Three double rooms with en-suite bathrooms are let above the café, giving visitors the option to stay in the same building where they eat. Trading under the Welsh word for taste, the business sources what it can from producers around north Pembrokeshire and has built a strong local reputation as a lunch stop in a town with few sit-down eating options outside its pubs.
