Boating at Marlow runs a small fleet of fully electric, self-drive day boats from the Thames-side lawns beside Marlow Bridge and the weir. Visitors can take out six- or ten-seater launches by the hour or for a full day without a licence or prior experience, heading upstream towards Temple Lock, Hurley and Henley or downstream past Bisham. A twelve-seat skippered launch is also available for guided cruises and private charters. The boats are quiet and emissions-free, well suited to picnics, birthdays and gentle sightseeing along one of the prettier reaches of the Thames. It trades as part of the Electric Boat Company and operates from this single Marlow base, typically running spring through autumn and weather permitting. Booking ahead is sensible at peak summer weekends, when self-drive slots fill quickly.
