Casa Blanco

Casa Blanco is a small tapas restaurant at 85 Newton Road, Mumbles, opened by Kevin while he was still a university student. Born in Spain, he worked as a head chef in both Spain and Swansea before opening on his own, and was a finalist in the World Young Chef Young Waiter Wales competition in 2022. The short menu runs to classic Spanish plates: patatas bravas, croquetas, grilled octopus and cured meats, alongside daily specials chalked up depending on what is available. The room seats a modest number of covers, so tables are worth booking ahead at weekends. It serves Wednesday to Saturday evenings only, from 6.30pm to 9pm, with no lunchtime service. Wine is chosen to match the tapas format rather than a long list.
