The Joiners Arms is a stone-built freehouse dating from the 1860s at 50 Bishopston Road, in the centre of the village, owned and run independently rather than through a pub company. Five handpumps in the rear lounge serve a rotating list of cask ales rather than a fixed house beer, changing according to what the cellar has in. The two-room layout keeps a quieter lounge separate from the main bar, and there is a beer garden, a dartboard and screens for sport. Food service runs at lunchtime on Fridays and Saturdays and most evenings other than Monday and Sunday. It opens from 3pm on weekdays, from noon at weekends, and closes all day Monday. Step-free access is available via a rear ramp.
