Alan and Nicky run Chadwell Hill Farm from a working smallholding on Lower Icknield Way outside Longwick, keeping free-range pigs, Dexter cattle, ducks and chickens alongside three ensuite bedrooms let out in the farmhouse itself. A shepherd's hut and bell tents in the Buttercup Glamping field offer a self-catering alternative to the farmhouse rooms for guests who want their own space. Breakfast draws on eggs from the farm's own birds and vegetables from an ancient orchard and kitchen garden, supplemented by produce from neighbouring smallholders rather than a wholesale supplier. The farm also keeps horses at livery and welcomes dogs, making it as much a working agricultural business as a bed and breakfast. Rooms sit on the Chilterns' western edge, roughly an hour from central London by car.
