Godwins Bakery trades from a shopfront on Princes Risborough High Street, selling fresh bread, cakes, biscuits and made-to-order sandwiches to passing high-street trade. It operates from a single premises rather than as part of a multi-branch chain, distinguishing it from the supermarket in-store bakeries nearby. A Buckinghamshire Council food hygiene inspection carried out in November 2025 rated the bakery 'Good' for hygienic food handling and for cleanliness and condition, with management of food safety rated 'generally satisfactory'. The counter carries a rotating range of traybakes, celebration cakes and savoury pastries alongside daily bread, and serves as one of the few independent bakeries left on the town's high street, used for everyday bread as well as birthday and celebration cake orders made to a customer's own specification rather than off a fixed catalogue.
