Copper Beech Brewing Company began in January 2019, when Dan and Sam Lawson, together with Sam's parents John and Trish, started brewing in a garden shed beneath a copper beech tree in Kidderminster. What began as a home-brewing hobby, intended to supply a local micropub, grew into a nano-brewery, moving to a unit at Kidderminster's Unity Park in 2022 before opening a taproom in Worcester city centre in October 2024, inside a former police lost-property store on Britannia Road. Beer is brewed on a 1400-litre kit, with a core range including the Birdie American pale ale and One Night In Laguna New England IPA, alongside rotating small-batch releases. The business is now run by four equal partners. The taproom, fitted with booths and a sofa, is closed Monday to Wednesday and opens afternoons and evenings from Thursday to Sunday.
