Crab &Waltzer

Amy opened Crab & Waltzer on Marine Avenue in June 2017, taking over a corner unit that had previously traded as the Indian Ocean and then Siam Bay restaurants. The bistro looks out past the Links to the sea, with tables set both indoors and on a pavement terrace for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The kitchen keeps to a British seafood-led menu alongside cooked breakfasts and a full drinks list, and the dining room doubles as a venue for private celebrations booked directly with Amy's team. Staff work the floor themselves rather than through agency cover, and the pace stays informal even on busy weekends. Crab & Waltzer forms part of the run of independent operators along Whitley Bay's seafront strip, close to Spanish City.
