Curds andWhey

Curds and Whey sells British cheese and charcuterie from a shop on Western Road in Hove that it shares with Cases, a wine bar run by the same two partners, Phil Bartley and Steve Pineau. Around 150 cheeses sit behind the counter, from blue and cheddar to soft and smoked varieties, alongside more than 30 British charcuterie products. Bartley runs the Great British Charcuterie Co, the wholesale business behind the counter, while Pineau's background is in wine through l'Atelier du Vin. By day the unit works as a deli and bottle shop; by evening the tables turn into a wine bar. The shop opened in 2020 on the site that had previously housed La Cave a Fromage.
