Custom House is a gallery and shop in Cardigan's eighteenth-century custom house on St Mary Street — a Grade II-listed building that its owner, Karina, restored and turned into a space selling the work of Welsh artists and makers, and nothing that is not. Paintings, ceramics, jewellery, textiles: all of it made in Wales, chosen by someone who knows the makers. Open seven days, in a town that has become one of west Wales's better places to buy something real rather than a souvenir. A gallery-shop of genuine standards, in a handsome old building by the Teifi. Worth the browse, and the building is worth seeing anyway.
