Daisy's Garden Centre occupies Cooks Yard on New Road in Kirkbymoorside, established by a local family in the early 2000s to serve gardeners across Ryedale and the surrounding moors villages. The centre stocks bedding plants, shrubs, trees and perennials alongside compost, gravel and tools, and runs a landscaping arm that designs and builds gardens for customers locally. Alongside the plant sales, the shop sells fresh produce and vegetables, dairy and eggs, locally produced meat and preserves, honey and ice cream, making it as much a village food stop as a plant nursery. It remains independently owned and single-site, with no ties to the larger regional or national garden centre groups operating elsewhere in Yorkshire. The centre draws custom from Kirkbymoorside itself and the ring of moors villages between Pickering and Helmsley that have no garden retailer of their own.
