Dore MoorGarden Centre

Dore Moor Garden Centre has traded as a family-owned business on Hathersage Road since 2011, growing a substantial proportion of its bedding plants, shrubs and perennials on site rather than buying in ready-grown stock. The centre also sells peat-free compost, kiln-dried logs and general gardening sundries, sourcing additional plants from other small growers when its own beds cannot meet demand. Set on the edge of Dore close to the Peak District boundary, it operates from this single plot with no affiliation to any national garden centre group. Staff advise customers on planting for Sheffield's varied soils and altitudes, and the business continues to be run day to day by the family that established it, rather than by outside management.
