Mac McGrath opened the Wonky Labrador on Oakbrook Road in March 2023, converting the former Crafty One into a 26-seat micropub built around five rotating keg lines rather than a fixed house beer. Breweries such as Grizzly Grains, SMOD and Abbeydale cycle through the taps alongside more than fifty bottled and canned beers, gluten-free options and organic wine. McGrath, who moved into hospitality after years in corporate roles, holds a Mental Health Monday evening every week, describing the aim as giving people a reason to sit down and talk rather than drink quickly and leave. The pub also runs a Sunday quiz and occasional Meet the Brewer tastings. It is closed on Mondays and opens from 3pm on weekdays, earlier at weekends.
