Wickwire

Wickwire is an independent gift and greetings card shop on Nether Edge Road that has traded in the area for 24 years. Vicky, the current owner, has run the shop for the past 12 years, continuing its focus on cards, wrapping paper and small gifts. Stock includes locally made cards and jewellery from South Yorkshire makers alongside established gift brands such as Jellycat, Powder and Woodmansterne. The shop is small and single-fronted, typical of the parade of independent traders along this stretch of Nether Edge, and relies on repeat local custom rather than passing tourist trade. It does not operate any other branches. The range changes with the seasons, with a heavier stock of cards and decorations around Christmas, Mother's Day and other calendar occasions, alongside its everyday range of birthday and greetings cards.
