Andrew Walker runs his ceramics studio from Works 57 on Chippinghouse Road, a small open-plan space that opened in 2019 and expanded six months later. Beginner classes cover wheel throwing and hand-building, taught in small groups so each student gets direct attention, with clay, glazing and firing included in the course fee and finished pieces collected on set pickup days. Alongside the teaching side, Walker keeps space for his own studio practice and offers open-studio membership to people who want ongoing access rather than a single course. The building sits just outside Sheffield city centre, reachable by public transport, and the workbenches are set at standing height, which limits step-free access for wheelchair users.
