Local history museum in Dalby House, a Grade II listed Georgian house on Ilkeston High Street bought by the former borough council in 1980 and opened as a museum that year. Displays cover Erewash Valley coal mining, the Stanton Ironworks, lace making and the two world wars, set out through the house and its converted stables and hayloft. Admission and parking are free.
