Dorien Fenwick opened her gallery on Warkworth's Castle Street in 1990, showing her own landscape, seascape and floral paintings of the Northumberland coast alongside prints, ceramics, glass, sculpture, jewellery, textiles and clocks by a changing group of British makers. Her daughter Nicole returned to Northumberland in 2009 to help run the business and now shows her own wildlife paintings alongside her mother's coastal scenes, so two generations share the same wall space rather than one having replaced the other. Dorien's work follows the changing light and weather of the coastline; Nicole's paintings concentrate on animal eyes and texture. The gallery sells both original paintings and limited-edition prints, in person from the shop and by mail order, and sits on Castle Street on the walk down towards Warkworth Castle and the River Coquet.
