Cabosse has made handmade chocolates and cake creations in Warkworth since 2008, working from a shop and boutique on Dial Place below Warkworth Castle. All confectionery is produced on the premises, from filled chocolate boxes and figurines to seasonal collections for Easter and Christmas, alongside gluten-free and vegan options. The name comes from the cacao pod, the fruit from which chocolate beans are harvested. Alongside the chocolate counter, the shop operates as a licensed boutique and coffee shop, serving hot chocolate and light refreshments to visitors passing through the village. Bespoke orders and hampers are typically made to a five-to-seven day turnaround, with click-and-collect available alongside walk-in trade. Cabosse opens Wednesday to Sunday through most of the year, extending to seven days during the summer holidays and bank holidays. It remains a single-site, independently run business in the centre of Warkworth, a stop for both locals and visitors to the castle.
