Franco's Restaurant has occupied a converted forge on Queen Elizabeth Road, beside the River Erne in Enniskillen, since Frank and Betty Sweeney opened it as a small pizzeria in 1986. Their sons Ruairi and Emmett Sweeney now run the business, which has grown from its original pizza oven into a restaurant seating up to 100 diners in the main room and another 100 in the adjoining Garden Room. The menu covers European and Mediterranean dishes alongside wood-fired pizza, using produce sourced from local suppliers where possible. The Garden Room has its own private bar and is used for private dining, functions and catered events separate from the main dining room. Franco's opens daily from 1pm to 9.30pm. The building's former use as a forge is reflected in some of its interior features, and the restaurant remains one of the longer-running family businesses on Enniskillen's waterfront, having operated under Sweeney family ownership for close to forty years.
