Galleon Marine hires narrowboats and small craft from Colt Hill Wharf on the Basingstoke Canal in Odiham, opposite the Waterwitch pub. Boats have been hired from this wharf since 1988, first as Benford's Boats and then Wendy's Pleasure Boats, before the current husband-and-wife owners took over in 2014 and renamed the business Galleon Marine. Narrowboat holidays run from two-berth to eight-berth boats, including a wheelchair-accessible widebeam, alongside day boats for shorter trips on the water. A kiosk hires rowing boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for an hour or two, and electric boat options are also available. A picnic area with tables and toilets sits beside the wharf. Galleon Marine holds British Marine accreditation and works with the Basingstoke Canal Society, which maintains the waterway. The yard opens Thursday to Tuesday, closed Wednesdays, with small-boat hire running from March to September and reduced hours into October.
