Chris Close, a photographer trained at Westminster and Strathclyde, opened this gallery on Howe Street in 2016 as one of the first commercial spaces in Scotland devoted solely to photography. Exhibitions change through the year and mix newer photographers with historical names; past shows have included prints by Don McCullin and Yousuf Karsh alongside contemporary work. Prints are produced on archival paper using pigment-based inks, and limited editions carry the photographer's signature. Close runs the space largely alone, sourcing and framing images for buyers who describe what they want rather than choosing from stock, and offering a mock-up service where customers send wall measurements before committing to a size. The gallery sits between Princes Street and Stockbridge, open Wednesday to Saturday.
