Heart ofSuffolk Distillery

Heart of Suffolk Distillery operates from a single unit in Finbows Yard, a small trading yard off Station Road in Bacton, near Stowmarket. Karen and Martyn Luke set up the business in 2018, with Martyn distilling small batches of around sixty-five bottles by hand, each one signed and numbered. Three London dry gins are produced under the names Betty's, Rosie's and Ivy's, alongside limited-run liqueurs, using botanicals sourced locally where possible. The unit is not staffed daily; a flag hung outside signals when someone is on site, though the couple are reliably in on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 11am to 4pm, for tastings. Bottles can otherwise be ordered for click-and-collect through the distillery's website. Visitors on tasting days can watch the small still in operation and meet Martyn.
