Heddens of Woodtown runs its farm shop from the family's working farm at Woodtown, a few minutes outside Bideford in North Devon, selling meat butchered on site alongside vegetables and potatoes grown on the same land. More than nine in ten products sold come from the South West region, a policy the family calls their field-to-fork approach, distinguishing the shop from outlets that simply import produce wholesale and mark it up. The range extends to free-range eggs, local fish, cheese and dairy, plus jams, chutneys and olives bought in from other small producers. Customers can also order seasonal fruit and vegetable boxes for delivery around North Devon, and the farm sells heating fuel alongside food. A second, smaller outlet trades from St John's Garden Centre between Barnstaple and Braunton, but Woodtown remains the working farm and main shop.
