Kookaba has traded from the High Street in Saundersfoot for around twenty-five years, run as a single restaurant under an Australian theme reflected in its chargrilled menu of steaks, burgers, barbecue chicken and grilled fish. The kitchen sources meat and produce responsibly and offers separate vegan, coeliac and gluten-free menus alongside its main list. Outdoor seating on the Outback Terrace looks toward the sea, while the indoor dining room seats regulars and holidaymakers who return each summer. Service runs from 5pm Monday to Saturday and from midday on Sundays. The restaurant has built its reputation locally on steaks cooked over charcoal in the style that gives the business its name, rather than on any wider group presence.
