Lardo

Lardo has served wood-fired pizza and Italian small plates on Richmond Road since 2012, in a converted warehouse a short walk from London Fields. The kitchen is now run by chef Marta Sandini, previously of the three-Michelin-starred Hisa Franko in Slovenia, who took over the menu from the restaurant's original team. Cured meats, hand-rolled pasta and a wood-fired oven anchor the room, alongside a wine list built around low-intervention producers. A wraparound terrace seats diners outside for most of the year. The restaurant remains independently run, without sister sites or group backing, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.
