Lee's Family Bakers has traded from the corner of Stanhope Road and Olive Street in South Shields since Ken and Mary Lee opened it on Decimal Day, 15 February 1971. Now run by the fourth generation, sisters Clair Campbell and Susan Smith, it bakes bread, cakes, pastries and savouries on the premises daily.
