Seven acres of community-built greenspace on the edge of town, made over eight years by roughly a thousand volunteers after local residents formed the Urban Biodiversity community interest company in 2014. A hundred and twenty traditional Cornish apple trees, a Victorian-style kitchen garden of an acre and a half, wildflower meadow and woodland — open to everyone, free, at all hours — with the Heart & Soul café pouring daily, a community building running co-working, classes and evening performances, a veg-box scheme feeding fifty-odd member households, and training and mental-health programmes at the centre of the whole operation. A social enterprise in the exact sense: the surpluses go back in. Enter from Yeoman Way.
