North WealdAirfield Museum

The North Weald Airfield Museum occupies Ad Astra House on Hurricane Way, covering the airfield's wartime importance, the people involved and the aircraft. A memorial stained glass window, unveiled by Lord Tebbit, who was an RAF pilot at North Weald, is the first thing you see on arrival. Note that no full scale planes are on exhibit. A registered charity, No 1081157, run and staffed by volunteers; open Saturdays and Sundays, 12-5pm, last entry 4pm.
