Meadow Hill CoffeeShop & Deli

Carol runs this coffee shop and deli from a High Street unit in Great Dunmow, making scones, cakes, soups and sausage rolls in her own small kitchen each morning. The deli counter and menu draw on named local suppliers: ham and bacon from Priors Hall Farm, bread from Dorringtons bakery, ice cream from Saffron Walden, eggs from Sparlings Farm and beer from Bishop Nick in Braintree. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are served through the week, alongside takeaway coffee and cakes for passing trade. The shop also caters for small local events and has opened specially for the town's Sunday market. Opening hours run Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm, and Friday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm, with the shop closed on Sundays outside market days.
